With this Bill it seems our provincial liberal government just doesn’t get it. If they do get it they must have some secret agenda because section 3 of Ontario Bill 45, the part on E-Cigarettes plainly makes no sense what-so-ever! There have been plenty of studies conducted on the harm reduction of e-cigs all of which seem to have eluded our government as they say that we need more testing to see if e-cigs are safe. The UK has done testing for harm reduction as well as youth uptake. On November 13th 2014 in London England there was a summit on E-cigarettes by the worlds leading authorities. Canada did not attend.
We need to wake up our politicians, the ones we have elected to act for the people. They need to listen to us. If they need help with studies and information we need to help inform them. The time to act is now, we need to send a clear message to our MP’s and MPP’s. We need regulation in this industry but it needs to be reasonable and not over regulated!
If you are contacting any members of parliament please remember:
- Do not be rude
- Do not be angry
- Do not be aggressive
- State your case in a respectful manner
